Safeguarding in Schools

Bedminster Down School takes seriously its responsibility to protect and safeguard the welfare of the children and young people in its care. The welfare and safety of the children in our care is of paramount importance to us and we foster a culture of vigilance among staff, students and parents/carers. We always listen to children and take their concerns seriously. To help us do so, we stay well informed about both national and local issues and are proud to have taken part in both national and local campaigns and training programmes to develop systems to positively promote student welfare alongside staff understanding and knowledge around key issues our young people may be facing.

Please feel free to contact Mr D Goater (acting Designated Safeguarding Lead for Bedminster Down School) email: dgoater@bedminsterdown.org.uk or telephone the school if you have any concerns in relation to students being at risk.
